June 2021 Finished MVP

It took nearly five months, but I got the MVP out of the door.
I've learned so much about how to actually make a web app,
from cookie policies to CORS and my Rust skills have come on leaps and bounds.
Here's hoping other people like it as much as I do.

April 28, 2021 Went viral on reddit

I released a work-in-progress screenshot of the two hour isochrone from Birmingham on r/dataisbeautiful
https://www.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/n0e01d/oc_isochrone_map_of_areas_reachable_by_railfoot/
It got 14.7k upvotes and lots of engagement, but I had nothing for people to actually look at beyond the screenshot so It was probably wasted.
They did find a lot of bugs though.

February 1, 2021 Quit my job

After seven years of working for someone else I'm on my own.
There is a huge backlog of possible ideas which I've been putting off because I was 'too busy', now there are no excuses. Just have to pick an idea, something to do with trains perhaps ...?

About

I wanted to see where I could go on a day trip by train, there are other isochrone map tools but none of them are tailored to public transport.
