After spending a few hours in Carrd, we pushed the website live and made our first post to Twitter.

We're not expecting overnight results, but hopefully we'll stick in the back of SAAS founders minds so when they're ready to mail some SWAG they'll come to us.

Daniel Vassallo has tweeting about his perspective on taking small bets. This is one of our small bets. Small initial investment, but the value we can provide is huge. Looking forward to sharing updates as we learn and hopefully grow!

We're going to give this a try. It's a low investment experiment for us to get it off the ground. All we really need to get started is a simple landing page and getting the word out of our company.

We don't expect this company to be the next billion dollar unicorn, but we're both engineers skilled in developing and running efficient processes that we think we can build it into something.

Within a few hours we have the draft copy developed and a landing page spun up in Carrd. Was sooo easy. The last step is to purchase the domain and push the landing page live.

In early 2021, I volunteered to manage sending out stickers for Blitz.js, an open-source framework. Within just a few weeks hundreds of folks had signed up for free stickers and I had to start getting a process in to place.

After getting the first couple hundred stickers mailed out, I can see why SAAS founders are reluctant to undertake a SWAG campaign.

First you need to buy envelopes, stamps, address labels, an envelope licker. Second, you need to find time.

Individually addressing envelopes for people all over the world is a major time sink. Founders' time is better off spent on other aspects of their business.

With a decent process in place for Blitz.js sticker management, my husband and I decided to dip our toes in the water to see if other SAAS founders could use our help.
