Mailbites
Build email templates, faster than ever
Starting today (until December 1st) you can get 50% OFF for all of our ready-to-use components, sections, layouts and templates. That's a pretty good deal for a lifetime access with free updates product! Just use code BLCK23 at checkout and simplify your email development with Mailbites!
After a bit of a delay were finally ready for release v2.0 of Mailbites. After the previously abandoned mjml-react project was taken over by the good people at Faire, we decided that this was the perfect opportunity for us to expand what Mailbites is offering.
With 2.0 each of our components, sections, layouts and templates gets an additional version made with mjml-react. That means when viewing the code on any of our detail pages you can now select if you want to see the code in mjml or mjml-react.

Just found out that the abandoned react-mjml project was taken over by the great people at Faire. This is such great news for us. We're currently working on version 2, which will include React-Email, made by Resendlabs. And now, we'll also be adding mjml-react!

For anyone who's interested, we got a new signup form where you can enter your email address, and we'll be sending out an email whenever we have something new. Like, when we add new components, sections, layouts and templates, or when we release version 2 with react-email, which will be pretty soon.
As for the free content, we always had that, but you had to go through each individual category to get to the free stuff. So we added a new page you can get to through the landing page, with all the free options we have. Also there's some more free stuff now.

Today i got an email from one of our users, asking if it was possible to copy HTML directly from Mailbites, instead of copying the MJML code and converting it to HTML. That is such an insanely obvious feature, but we never thought about it.
It's crazy how important it is to get eyeballs on your product, just for the feedback. At some point we just become blind to certain aspects of the product, be it edge cases, bugs, features etc. Feedback is the thing that keeps pushing us forward.

We've noticed that there's been quite a bit of traffic coming from Indie Hackers in the last few days. So we thought that it's a bit unfair that when we gave away 10 free slots when we launched on Product Hunt. Let's fix that!
Dear Indie Hackers, we're very happy to be part of your community and we're looking forward to getting to know you and check out all of the cool stuff that's coming from this place! For anyone who's interested in Mailbites and would like to give us some feedback, here's a discount code that will give you 100% off at checkout: HIIH. There's also a discount code MB20 which will give you 20% off, just in case!

Our plan for v2 has always been to support more than just MJML. First, we looked at implementing all of our components, sections, layouts and templates in mjml-react. It looked like a good option. But development on the codebase of mjml-react has been stalling and the last publish was a year ago. So we'll keep an eye on it and see where it's going.
In September of 2022, the guys at resendlabs started working on a new thing called react-email, which is basically a collection of unstyled components for creating emails. They did a great job, and after some first tests with it, we've decided that v2 will be all about react-email. We will create separate versions for each component, section, layout and template.
We'll be releasing v2 at the beginning of September, so stay tuned!

Today we got our first paying customer! This feels incredible. Someone is willing to pay for a product that we made. I mean, it sounds a bit ridiculous to say that. But i have to be honest, it feels a little bit weird too.
I love what we made and i think it's a useful tool, that i actually use myself when i work on client projects. Seeing that someone thinks it has value and wants to pay for it is just an incredible feeling!

Great to hear Moritz! This looks really useful and I'm keeping it bookmarked to see where it goes! I'd love to see the next iteration include input fields to help users generate their code by simply uploading their logo and adding text :D Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much Jason! That's great input. It's already on our feedback wall. Were currently working on our v2, which will have versions of all templates made with react-email.

Yesterday we launched on Product Hunt and the experience was so-so. It's really nice to get the word out there, get some traffic on the site, a little bit of feedback. But, conversion wise it wasn't a success. We gave out 100% off to the first 10 people who signed up. Those free signups happened in the first 10 hours of the launch. But no one bought the product after that.
Still, were very happy with the launch! It was an incredible experience, and even if we didn't get any paying customers right away, we'll keep working on it and get some.
Here are some stats:
- We reached position #11. That's pretty great in my book!
- We got 177 upvotes.
- And 36 comment. All very nice and helpful.
- Mailbites has over 200 followers on PH now

This is my first ever launch on Product Hunt, so i actually have no idea how to do this properly. A few days ago i bought the "Product Hunt Checklist" by Falak Sher. It's a very well made Notion template, so i started picking out the stuff i wanted to at any cost, removed some stuff that i wasn't very interested in and got to work.

After working on a lot of custom emails for a client, we just wished that there was something like TailwindUI, but for emails. So we made Mailbites.
