February 29, 2020 1000 Signups

It's been a long slog to get here, but MailBluster just passed 1000 signups! This has been the result of several efforts, including blogging, social media marketing, press, and podcast appearances.
We had little to no growth for a long time, but what really turned the tide for us was press. I emailed 200+ different bloggers and journalists this past quarter, and some of them ended up writing articles that drove a lot of traffic and signups. Now I'm just hoping that a lot of them will convert to paying users soon. 🀞

That's a nice idea. Reaching out to journalists... How did you get this list of journalists?

    Congrats on your achievement!

I'm curious to know what's your inbound funnel. Btw, I have visited your website just right now to know more about your product and it says: "The site is experiencing technical difficulties."

    Again, well done!

Hey @whosthisisa! Thank you so much πŸ’›
Mainly blogs and news sites are our accusation channels. The massive free tire is giving us a high conversation rate - around 39% of the new visitors are signing up with a free account. ~20% of them are crossing the 62k email limit and becoming paid users.
We are providing one-on-one live chat support. It looks like my users are happy. Here is a post from a fan user giving us big inspiration: https://customeracquired.com/email-platform-mailbluster/

Btw, the error is fixed now πŸ™‚

How did you get on blogs and news sites? Do you have any tips? Is there a resource you can share? Thank you!

        I visited your site.

Curious. Have you tried paid ads?

        It’s really worth trying.

For example, target e-come store owners and make a specific landing page for them. A/B test it.

Let me know what you think.

Let me know how it goes.

Your mailing list can be segmented according to characteristics, behaviors, etc. right?

If yes, this can be a huge selling point.

Going to try it out. Support link at the top of the page does not work.

Hey @tommyent Thanks for the feedback. The support link opens up the chat box at the bottom right corner of the page. Maybe you clicked before the chat widget is fully loaded... can you please try again and let me know?

October 30, 2019 Got my first paying customer!

As we are giving a massive free tire - unlimited subscribers and 62k free emails every month, everyone told me to update my price tire or I will never make no money. But this day proved them wrong, this day we got our first paying customers for MailBluster.com converted to paid. The payment was $19 but It felt like a million! It felt like the first heartbeat! I was literally jumping in the air!

December 8, 2015 Finished MVP

It took a couple of weeks, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for MailBluster. By then, the email list has to be uploaded by writing SQL queries and we ourselves were the only customer. We kept it that way for a long time and did not think of making a business out of it until some of my existing clients and friends are asking me about what software I use to send to my massive email list! And that is when I start talking to them, doing a bit of market research and start writing the user stories.

September 24, 2015 Came up with my idea

In early 2015 we crossed the 100,000 subscribers landmark in themewagon.com – one of our startups and needed a more affordable solution to send newsletters without compromising the quality of sending. We made an MVP and blasted a couple of millions of emails with 99.8% successful delivery. By that time, ThemeWagon was saving over $2,150/month on email marketing software subscription fees and we decided to share the honey with the world by creating MailBluster!
