I don’t think I’ve been this nervous and anxious in a while. mailfloss is live on Product Hunt and it’s super nerve-wracking sharing it with the PH community. I read just about every article about launching on PH I could find and I used PH’s Ship Pro plan and their Upcoming feature for about three weeks and got the #1 hunter to hunt it so I hope it helps. 🤞

mailfloss is a bulk email verification service that automatically removes invalid emails from your email lists. There’s no code or spreadsheets required. This was a side-project I built after being frustrated with existing solutions. I was busy and needed a set and forget solution that didn’t exist. Afaik, it's the only fully automated solution there is.

I think I’m just naturally shy and introverted and having the spotlight on something I’ve built is quite uncomfortable to me. In a way I think I’m worried people won’t like it even though I have awesome customers who do. I don’t think I’ll do another “launch” like this again.

Not many people talk about Product Hunt's paid features from all the articles I've read on how to launch on PH. I signed up for their Pro Ship plan and figured I'd give it a go because PH is awesome so why not support them and have convenient launch features at the same time. I created an Upcoming page here:

I'm launching in less than a week and just a tad terrified. I've spent a whack load of time preparing for this launch and I can't believe how fast it is coming up. It looks like it will be a mad scramble to the end in order to finish all of the things I want to have done for the launch.

I hope I'll be able to write about my experience and share it with everybody because it has been quite a learning experience.

I'm not exactly sure when, but we recently passed 5000 followers.
Twitter is a nice place to share useful articles, engage with potential users, and build some brand awareness. It's a little hard to get noticed on Twitter and does take a lot of work, and it's a little hard to gauge if it's actually helping us. I think the number of followers is a vanity metric to be honest, but nonetheless we did it! I think something like leads generated from Twitter might be a better measuring stick, but not sure to be honest. I'd love to hear what other IHers think about Twitter. Is it useful to you?
