Mailman works with your Gmail account as a plug-in. You can continue to use your favorite email client. Think of Mailman as an added superpower.
The good thing about Andrew having a large Twitter audience is that we were able to spread the word quickly about the beta.
Today, we got our 1000th signup for the beta. You know what it means? It means there are people who face the same problem that we faced.
Now, we'll need to tighten our funnel to do better conversions.
We had a long (really looooooooooong) trial period for users during the private beta. Finally, after the 45-day long trial period, we got our first two paying customers this day.
And since then, we have been getting a constant stream of new paying customers every week.

After 6-8 email exchanges, we came up with a solid first version of the product and started building it.
