Haven't posted for a while, been very busy. Over the last 3 years mailslurp.com has grown significantly. I found writing developer guides and articles helped with growth - plus a steady addition of features. Starting to reach my limit as one man with coding, marketing, support and sales. Adding enterprise features like SSO and quotes was time consuming but paid off. Looking forward to the next stages including building a team.
Getting there! I think product is pretty feature complete now time for SEO and content strategy - the stuff that really scares me. I've been learning how to blog recently and seeing nice success. Pricing is still hard to calculate. The journey continues.

NIce! I just got my first paying customer today for https://storycreatorapp.com/ and not quite at $3k MRR but I feel you on the SEO aspect.
I'm focused on making at least 3 posts per week. Here is what I do.
I research a topic I think my target audience would like. Then I make an interesting graphic in sketch https://www.instagram.com/storycreatorapp/. I'll post it on Instagram, then convert it to a PDF for LinkedIn.
Once that's done I will turn it into a blog post after doing some keyword research. https://storycreatorapp.com/blog/how-to-turn-your-podcast-into-a-video I just reuse a lot of the assets from the Instagram post and modify them slightly to look nice for the blog post.
I think this is an effective strategy that doesn't take too much time but has a big bang for the buck.
MailSlurp is a one-man operation with big infrastructure needs. It allows you to send and receive unlimited emails via REST. This meant I needed a lot of AWS services. These became pretty expensive. I was able to reduce costs drastically by migrating to Kubernetes managed by KOPS. I also migrated away from DynamoDB to RDS Postgres. Monthly subscriptions now cover expenses!
