July 16, 2026 I built an all-in-one AI studio for creating anime stories

Hey Indie Hackers!

I’ve loved Japanese anime since I was a kid. But creating an anime story yourself usually requires drawing, animation, editing, and voice-production skills—or a whole team.

That inspired me to build MkAnime.

MkAnime is an all-in-one AI anime production platform for people who have stories to tell but may not know how to draw or animate.

You can start with a simple idea, and MkAnime helps you:

  • Develop the story outline and episodes

  • Generate scripts, characters, and scenes

  • Create editable storyboard shots

  • Keep recurring characters visually consistent

  • Add AI dubbing and lip sync

  • Export the finished video and assets

The main problem I wanted to solve was the fragmented workflow.

Most AI tools can generate an image or a short video, but producing a complete story often means switching between writing tools, image generators, video tools, voice platforms, and editors. MkAnime brings these steps into one project and lets creators revise individual scenes instead of starting over.

It’s designed for anime fans, storytellers, short-form video creators, and solo creators who want to build recurring series without needing a traditional animation team.

I’m still improving the product and would really appreciate some honest feedback:

  1. Is the value proposition clear when you visit the homepage?

  2. Which feature matters most to you: story generation, character consistency, storyboarding, or dubbing?

  3. What would stop you from trying or paying for a product like this?

You can try it here: https://mkanime.ai/

Thanks—I’d love to hear what you think!

The interesting opportunity isn't putting every AI capability into one place—it's making long-form anime creation feel like one continuous creative process instead of a chain of disconnected tools. I'd keep validating which step creators hate switching away from most. Solving that exceptionally well may matter more than owning the entire workflow.

Thanks, Aryan — I see what you mean now. The real opportunity is creating a seamless end-to-end creative process, not simply bundling multiple AI tools together. Your point about identifying the most frustrating transition in the workflow is especially helpful, and we’ll keep focusing on that as we refine the product.

        I'm glad it resonated.

Reading your reply gave me one thought about why that transition often becomes the product in creators' minds rather than just part of the workflow. I'd rather explain it in the context of what you're building than try to condense it into a few comments.

If you're interested, what's the best email to reach you on?
