October 3, 2018 Celebrated 100 episodes

Makers of Sport® celebrated 100 episodes by interviewing Jeremy Mitchell of Mitchell Bat Co. and giving away one of his hand-painted bats designed with the Makers of Sport® branding.

The show has gone from once a month episodes, to bi-monthy, to weekly and now back to monthly. I have experimented with intervals and am constantly trying to find the balance of running it consistently with the workload of my studio.

February 5, 2016 Launched the member community

I launched a paid member community for the podcast that included moving the Halftime episodes to private, a Slack channel, private interviews with future, former and special guests and more.

I used Tinypass by Piano.io to process payments and memberships and would manually invite users to Slack once they signed up.

February 21, 2015 Reached 25 episodes

I reached a 25 episode milestone (26 counting the Episode 0 intro).

For this episode, one of my guests and mentors in the sports design business suggested that he turn the mic back on myself and interview me so I could tell my own story.

I fittingly named the show Interception.

January 19, 2015 Launched Halftime

I launched a "show within the show" called Halftime. It was intended to be an episode between the interviews kept at 20 minutes or less inspired by halftime speech of coaches where I discussed what I've learned in my career about business, freelancing, branding and entrepreneurship. It gained some new fans of the podcast and helped me to establish more credibility with my audience and guests.

March 22, 2014 Launched with Episode 0

I launched my first ever podcast episode recorded on Adobe Audition with a Rode Podcaster.

I waxed on about the goals of the podcast, why I was doing it and what my plans were for the show.

Fortunately, I've come a long way since then interviewing and speaking-wise.
