We have had small sales from time to time, and see interest in the product, but without a developer on board have struggled with the plans to redevelop.

When we relaunch ManagePro will have a new name that represents better what the product can be used for.

We are really in the need of a developer co-founder.

April 1, 2019 Decided on ReDev strategy

When ManagePro was developed in the 90's it was developed for a Windows only market. This served the program well for many years. However, the market had changed and now it needed to be redeveloped.

The problem, ManagePro only runs on Windows, and exclusively only works with Microsoft technologies.

This is a hindrance to growth of the product. The Founder, is a Linux user, and cannot use this product on his own computer, it was found during customer contact that there were a number of customers that were Mac users, or had switched to Mac, and would love a version that runs on Mac, as well as a great number wanting a cloud version of the software.

It was decided that a cross-platform version of the software needed to be developed, and the most likely language for this development would be Java.

The software needs to be able to work with other email and office clients to meet today's needs, as well as opening up the backend database to other DBMS.

The former owner had dabbled in the cloud a bit, by using Citrix, but it was never a real success, so a real cloud solution would be developed as well.

February 1, 2019 Discovered Reason for Lack Luster Sales

During our email campaign to stay GDPR compliant we found a lot of former clients interested in ManagePro, but only if there was a newer version.

We received so many responses telling us how great the product was. How they loved what it did, and could do, and that they wanted to be informed when a new version was developed.

Some offered us insight on features they wished it had, others on some issues they had found with it, and others with just interest in seeing the product kept alive.

In the end, what we discovered was that the former owner had not really innovated on the product, and had really not focussed sales to the correct group of people/businesses. We decided then that what was needed is a redev of ManagePro.

January 1, 2019 Emailed all the former clients

After taking over ManagePro in Early 2018, we had to get the license server back up and running and a number of other technical issues had to be handled. Once this was completed we were finally able to start looking at the client database.

The former owner had data going back to the inception of ManagePro in the 1990's, and the EU had just passed it GDPR rules, and we knew we need to contact the former customers so that we could continue contact with them.

We had well over 2k contacts to go through, and had to normalize the database to find them all.

We then went on an email campaign to contact each one, and also give them the ability to opt out of further communications.

During this contact campaign we were able to drive a few more sales of ManagePro from former customers.

June 18, 2018 Sold Site License

We made some initial sales during a funding campaign the biggest news was us selling a site license to a bank in Germany.

This deal had been started prior to our purchase of ManagePro, but we were able to finalize the sale after taking over all the assets from the previous owner.

About

I purchased ManagePro because I felt it was a product that was never marketed correctly. ManagePro was created in the 90's and had really great traction over the years, It has sales, just not where it should be
