As of 30th of June 2019, Mapsery has surpassed $70,000 in sales.
To be fair, it took longer than anticipated to reach this milestone, but given the limited amount of time and love that has been devoted to @mapsery, we couldn't expect much more.
If Mapsery is kept on auto-pilot, we should be on track to surpass $100,000 before Christmas.

Awesome gift! Do you get sales via FB ads? Isn't this a Shopify store or your custom code?
We get some sales from FB ads, yes. No, it runs on Wordpress and WooCommerce, but the editor, the rendering and styling of the maps and the POD (Print On Demand) integration is coded.
I was thinking of starting a similar thing for soccer posters. Always scared of legal issues I might have. Do you mind sharing what POD api you use? I have heard about pwinty a lot.

Sure, we use an API from a company called Printmotor, that’s located in Finland. I can strongly recommend them.
How long did it take to reach here? Also love the idea! Curious how you came up with it?
We launched in March 2018, so roughly 15 months. Prior to that, we spent about a year working on the idea (part time, while studying at uni).
We didn't come up with the idea to print custom map posters on demand. Others have done that before us. The original idea was simply to sell unique posters that the customers would design themselves. We experimented with different ideas, such as posters that would be generated based on user input, but came up empty handed. So we settled for a less exciting option and did our take on an already existing product.
