Markee finally got a new design which is inspired by Google's new Material Design 3 aka. Material You.

Some old "features" like setting your name inside the app got removed simply because it didn't make any sense in the first place.

Currently, there is also only one general theme now. I noticed that the different colors get way too distracting when you added like 30 different books.

Overall the design update with a few usability improvements went pretty good and I'm glad that I finally got some time to give the app the look and feel it deserves.

In the future, I plan to add again different themes for the complete app and work on some new features as well.

I'm happy to announce that I published my first app to the Play Store(sorry iOS) today! If you like reading books and lose your bookmarks often like me, then Markee is the perfect reading companion for you.

With Markee, you can add your books and update the current page you are on, whenever you stop reading. Add notes to books if you're reading something like a biography or if it's a book that you have to read for your class, or to keep quotes in one place.

And of course, the app is completely free, without any ads, annoying popups, or anything like that.
All your data is stored inside the app won't get saved on any server, so everything stays on your device.
You'll be able to sync your data to another device by using QR codes in the future, keeping everything available offline and safe.
