MarketerHire
Talent platform for specialized marketing freelancers
We have 7,071 followers right now and we're looking to grow, fast. Paid Instagram works well for us, and we have a hunch that if we are active on our IG, then those leads will perform better.
Anyway, it's here! https://www.instagram.com/marketerhire/
This thing is stilllll growing and the open rates are holding (30%+). Ad units sold out for the quarter, and we're now talking about adding community and events since the U.S. is opening back up soon!
OH - and we've gotten some AMAZING feedback since February, launched a referral program (come and get your marketing dad hats!), and are updating content weekly to better serve readers. We'll be hiring another writer soon, and will increase Raisin Bread to 2x per week.
Would love for folks to sign up! https://marketerhire.com/raisin-bread

We've put a brief pause on our marketing trends and news reporting to backfill for a lack of evergreen content to support our 10 marketing roles that we offer.
The goal is to redesign our role pages to better explain our positioning on why these roles – and then to produce 3 content pieces per role (whew - that's a lot of content!) over the next quarter and a half to support those role pages, provide more content, and to give us a lot of content we can easily repurpose for one-pagers, decks, paid digital content LPs, etc.
This is foundation building, and follows a cluster theory of content marketing and SEO. Will keep folks updated - should see results in about 3-6 months!

It's officially! MarketerLive is now LIVE –– with our first guest, the founder of TUSHY, Miki Agrawal.
We've been planning MarketerLive since January. It's a weekly live webinar with CMOs, founders and the like where we talk about how they think through hiring marketing teams –– full-time, freelancers, consultants, agencies - whatever. There is no right or wrong answer, but this kind of stuff is often only talked about in private forums, if even there.
Building a scalable and effective marketing team is haarddd though – so we dediced to chat with the experts to better understand how they think about it.
Then, we'll repurpose those live webinars to on-demand webinars, cut them up and use them in our email nurture streams and for paid digital. Repurpose, repurpose, repurpose, repurpose!
Our guest line up is SICK, too: https://live.marketerhire.com/sessions
- The VP and General Manager of DTC for The Clorox Company
- The CMO of Shipbob
- The EVP of Marketing for Complex Networks
- The CMO and VP of Strategy for Forbes
- The CEO and Founder of Lambda School
- The Former CMO at ZipRecruiter
- The CMO at Skillshare
- The CEO of Sharma Brands (Nik Sharma of course!)
- And many many more!!

Our newsletter is growing fast and we're now up 8K subscribers since September – with 30% open rates. We're testing a lotttt in terms of our format, and launched surveys to help our readers tell us what they want, what they think, etc. We also sold out the entirety of our ad units for the quarter.
Up and to the riiiight.

Whew - we've hired two content folks and started consistently publishing on the blog. We're doing a mix of marketing news & trend reporting (not really SEO based, but interesting and goooood), and more SEO-specific stories using Ahrefs as a guide and Clearscope to help check our writing before we pub. Beginning of January, we saw a HUGE jump in organic search traffic. Now double what we were seeing in September, and only up from here!

Joined the MarketerHire team after freelancing with them for several months. Will be building out a media team to produce content and build up the brand. Excited about the next several years!
MarketerHire is growing fast, and before now, has focused all marketing activities into paid digital. Yikes – but also, it's working! Now it's time to fill the brand sponge and help reduce CAC.
Let's goooo!
