Not long ago we broke 1,000 installs and shortly after, thanks to a series of growth spurts, Marquee even broke the 2,000 mark with a total 2.2k installs to date.
We've been making great progress collaborating with our users to refine features and UX based on their valuable feedback.
Thanks for all your support! Check out what's new on our blog:

We've continued our product development based on pointed user feedback and our strategic roadmap. We've also been able to keep up our growth momentum with content marketing initiatives, blogging about features and interacting with relevant community members.
We're looking forward to breaking into the four digits!

The last week's been a wild ride. Excited to see Marquee break the triple digit mark to now be up to 400+ users.

The growth is still continuing. Marquee now has a slow and steady trickle of growth that we have notably supplemented twice now when we push relevant content to developer communities.
Looking forward to what's coming in the near future!

This morning was exciting to wake up to >120 users - still growing!
How did we do this? Two things:
1.) Produced relevant blogging content to intro new features in the context of the specific problem they are solving.
2.) Crossed posted the blogs in communities where developers, the target audience, congregates.
It's been surprising to see which communities out performed others. Hopeful we can sustain a level of user growth.

Based on encouraging early user reports we've started burning down a shortlist of features and modifications to MVP's UX.
What, in hindsight, could have been 3 separate releases, amounted to a lot of hard work. We made sweeping improvements to not only make Marquee look & feel more vscode-native but add deep integration into developer's workflows.

After a few weeks of working evenings and weekends during the quarantine, we dropped Marquee into the VS Code Marketplace after reaching MVP status.
Initial growth had been difficult but we managed to get a number of installs and valuable feedback from early users.

VS Code is by far the most popular IDE. Yet its extension ecosystem is rather monolithic. On one hand, extensions are available to make VS Code work with any language & tool but moving past utility applications seemed unexplored.
We realize that VS Code will be a great platform to connect with developers and the concept of the Marquee extension was conceived.

VS Code is blazing fast and ergonomically adapts to devs workflows. Expect for working with multiple windows. A gap Marquee strives to fill.
