Maths A Day
Maths app where difficulty adjusts to your level
Used both paid and organic (App Store optimizations and articles) to drive the downloads. App marketing strategies using Facebook worked really well and I got it down to 20 cents a download while I could afford it.
The app is used in over 50 countries and has an average usage of time of about 4 minutes.
I have always loved maths and doing mental maths everyday was a comforting exercise to stay sharp. I couldn’t find any apps that increased the difficult level of questions automatically or let me answer as many questions as I want.
The existing apps either had too easy questions or had a question limit or they had lots of ads.
So, I decided to build an app where difficulty level changes based on your performance similar to a GMAT algorithm and you can practice as many as you want.

Hey @Sidvis83, did you get 20 cents a download immediately after launching the campaign? Or did you have to run the Facebook Ads for a period of time?
@bryguy within a week
Oh wow. Did you set up an App Installs campaign or a Conversions campaign? We're doing a conversions campaign and we're spending a considerable amount per install because we were told to give it some time to learn.
@bryguy - was app install campaign. Fb campaigns always go through the learning process but if the targeting criteria are strong and your product/service has a short buy cycle, the learning should be quick. How long have your campaigns been in limited learning? You might find this article I wrote on limited learning useful. https://digitalacquisitionstrategy.com/all-digital-acquisition-articles/digital-channels/what-do-you-do-when-you-see-facebook-limited-learning-in-campaigns/
Happy to look through your campaign setup and advise.
How did you market on Facebook? Did you use ads or groups and what was your strategy (especially organic)?
@thestarist18 - used fb Ads and some organic posts that were boosted up. Ensured my targeting criteria was super tight and did a lot of testing to find my niche. Full disclosure - I am also a digital marketer by profession. Happy to help if you need advice!
