There's already a lot of cloud POS in the market, as well as delivery apps which charges up to 40% commission. But why would we want to create another one?

Because we can.

Due to immense demand from first week of the lockdown, I managed to put together an ordering system, with Airtable as CMS. The whole thing was an exercise of rethinking the fastest way to order, without needing to login or register for a new account.

It was 2019 when I had to wait for a long time for a waiter to come and give the menu, tell my preferred selection, and be done with the ordering. At that time, QR scan with mobile camera was not that that ubiquitous.

Fast forward to 2020, the pandemic has upended all traditional ways of doing things. There was an urgent need to create an online ordering system by one of my relative, so off we go to work.
