After integrating this with an enterprise application, with the API product ready for production use, we were proud to land our first paying customer.

This is a super exciting milestone, it validates what we are doing and we not only appreciate the commitment of our customers whether they have started paying or not, but appreciate the work other startups need to do to get to this point.

After much testing and integration, we completed version 1 (basic MVP) for public consumption, this was the basic end-to-end workflow, but primarily with the core features driven via API for integration. As we are working with an enterprise software vendor , integrating into their productivity tool, we had the benefit of the application being tested.

At this point we opened up the application to anyone as a Beta product.

As a freelancer/consultant, I evaluate, specify and build various proof of concepts for integration projects. In this case, having evaluated many tools, there were no simple API-first systems and licensing models seemed a bit crazy.
