Launched closed beta
by Lesley SimAfter months of work, our WordPress Membership plugin is ready to be downloaded! We have the core plugin and 10 add-ons.
The plugin can now be used by anyone who wants to register users, create member directories and restrict content.
Our website (memberhero.pro) is 90% done, with most key pages completed.
We also changed our name from Member Chimp to Member Hero, to avoid getting confused with MailChimp!
Next up:
- Use cases
- Updating documentation
- Connecting to EDD which will enable users to auto-updates within WordPress, and allow us to charge for our plugin.
Further down the road:
- MaliChimp and WooCommerce integrations
- Paid subscribers add-on, so that users can charge for their memberships --> This is the big one, and it'll take awhile for us to build!

Hey Chrissy!
Thanks for your kind words! It's a very saturated field, so we've been thinking a lot about segmenting the market so that we can build something awesome for our exact niche. It's a toss up between users with limited tech skills (like you rightly pointed out) and agencies/freelancers building websites for clients.
Interesting point on Ultimate Member. On our end, we've tried to avoid feature bloat (we know many established plugins struggle with this) and have simply tried our best to make our plugin secure and easy to use.
Sorry you visited the broken site. I've just fixed it and would love for you to check it out. :)
