June 26, 2021 Manifesto driving the development of Membr

I took a stab at early prototypes and created an early access list powered by Typeform.

June 1, 2021 Came up with the idea

Membr was borne out of frustration with existing note-taking apps.

  1. Note-taking apps didn't work the way I did i.e I do most of my research and reading on the web and most apps hand standalone desktop clients
  2. I was forced to context switch a lot between the browser and my note-taking apps. This hurt my productivity and motivation.
  3. I didn't like the design of Apple's notes app.
  4. I needed a Moleskine for the browser.

About

Unlike other note-taking apps, Membr doesn't force you to context switch by opening a new browser tab or app window. Efficiently write notes and instantly access them across all browser tabs.
