MemeNgin
A node based image engine for meme creators.
My product reached around 150 paying customers around the world. Recieved 8/0 positive/neagative ratio which is a good start. And the stat shows 10% of users using Memengin over 2 hours, while 50% is using memengin less than 10 minutes. This reveals two facts abuot MemeNgin.
- Some users seem to find Memengin useful. I'm assuming they're already familiar with node-based framework.
- Most users don't seem to be very interested in node-based image editing. In order to attract them, I developed a system to share templates worked through the Steam Workshop, and in order for this to be activated, it seems necessary to upgrade the features for users of 'minimal efforts' and increase the shared user generated contents.
The performance in the two weeks of release seems to be at the expected level.

After much consideration and development process, I have completed the prototype of MemeNgin. This is the current state of the open source based Steam hosted Mini platform.
MemeNgin feature at this stage are,
- A Node-based Image editor with tutorials and templates projects.
- Steam workshop integration for sharing User generated contents and cloud saves.

After some research I found out, there are many competitors in the field. camera apps & related software have been so crowded for many years. I wasn't sure about my idea will work out. I've decided try less competitive fields.
Internet meme content creators come from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels. But in most cases they just want to add their own message to existing template and share it with the community. I thought that if we could provide templates with plausible image editing effects to 'minimal efforts creators', it would be well used by the public.
And that was the reason I developed MemeNgin.

I thought it would be interesting to have an app where you can program your own special effects by programming the camera effects based on nodes. I thought that if we could share the effects we created, it would be a meaningful product to many people.

I wanted to create a tool that helps people feel fun in programming because the process of designing a meme is configured with node-based programming.
