Mentiohunt
The distribution queue for founders
I've launched 3 SaaS products in the last 2 years. All of them got signups. None of them made money.
The pattern was always the same: I'd spend months building, ship something decent, post it once or twice, get a small spike, then flatline. I told myself the product wasn't good enough. So I'd go back and build more features.
That wasn't the problem. Distribution was.
The channels that actually work are miserable to do manually
If you've been around IH long enough you know the playbook: find Reddit threads where people are asking for your solution, jump in with a helpful reply. Get into newsletters. Land on listicles. Build backlinks through cold outreach.
It works. The problem is it requires you to:
Monitor dozens of subreddits constantly
Manually find newsletters and blogs in your niche
Write personalized outreach for every single one
Do all of this while also building the product
Nobody has time for that. So it doesn't get done.
So I built Mentiohunt
Two engines:
Community Monitoring — watches Reddit (and soon other forums) for posts mentioning your product, your competitors, or keywords your ICP uses. You get alerted when someone asks "what tool do you use for X?" so you can reply at the right moment, not three days later.
Backlink Building — finds newsletters, blogs, and listicles covering your niche, surfaces owner contact info, and generates a personalized outreach draft. Not a generic template — something that references what they actually write about.
I dogfooded the outreach engine to get Mentiohunt's first placements before launch. It worked. That felt good.
Stack if you're curious
Next.js, Node.js, Railway, Reddit API, Supabase, Resend, Claude for the AI layer.
The trickiest part was the Reddit rate limits — had to build a layered filter (keyword → relevance score → AI) so most posts get dropped before they touch the model. Keeps latency and cost low.
Where it's at
Just launched. Early access is open at mentiohunt.com.
I'm talking to founders using it and iterating fast. If distribution is your bottleneck and you want to try it, I'd love the feedback.
What's the biggest distribution channel you've struggled to stay consistent with? Curious what's broken for other builders here.
About
Most founders spend months building a product, then realize they have no idea how to get it in front of people. The channels that actually move the needle early (SEO, Reddit, etc.) require constant manual monitoring
