Few weeks after our go live, we continue recruiting mentors from top companies that will help other users to advance their professional career. We've been live for one week. I spent most of this time acquiring and talking to new users, which has helped me to see some bugs and details to improve during the upcoming weeks.
Feedback has been phenomenal so far and users are excited with the idea that Mentory and its mentors can help them move forward with their personal development goals.
I'll continue working on features that make the user experience better and increasing the offer and demand supply.
I'm really happy with the work done so far, the support received from this community and would love to see how other fellow IH's think that we could do better to serve them.
After one failed MVP and uncountable hours of exciting work, Mentory.me is live from today. Even though our main focus at this stage will be Spanish speaking countries, the platform is available worlwide, allowing you to book a mentoring session for career development with some of our talented mentors.
We've manually recruited our first mentors, to make sure that we don't launch empty handed, and will continue to do that over the next months.
We've received and incorporated tons of feedback from early users to make Mentory what you see today. We still have a long list of improvements that we will keep implementing in the upcoming weeks.

Trust and great credentials are everything.
Seeing mentors without a profile picture = bad :)
Seeing mentors that will work for free = bad (it undermines the other mentors, who ask a fee, too)If you click on view listing you are redirected to the login page but (probably not many people have registered yet) so you might want to show the registration page first.
I want to see a resume of the mentor on the listing overview page. Why is this person suitable to coach me?

-We're implementing one tweak to make mandatory for mentors to add a profile picture when creating their listing.
-Registration page will show only when you try to book a listing, so you should be able to see the full profile before registering.
-Great point about the summary of the mentor on the listing's overview page, will think about it!
These will go live by the end of next week :)

After a few months of hard work, we're clearing our last bugs as I keep talking to new mentors to join the platform. I'm happy to share in IH the results achieved so far on www.mentory.me

I've been working hard these weeks completing the design and frontend of the new platform built in React. Much happier with the result and the possibilities offered by this framework compared to WordPress :) sneak peak of the result on: www.mentory.appspot.com

Hey @rywils21 - glad you liked it! I did most of the design myself and got a designer to unleash his creativity on things that he thought we could improve like colour palette and shapes. Great work on Polished btw :)

After having the platform running in WP for a few weeks, I'm struggling to make WP handle the booking process, payments, chat interactions and notifications so decided to go for a Minimum Delightful Product bilt on React rather than an average MVP.
With the help of the programmer, we've been able to create a first working version of Mentory. We're still working to develop some features for the MVP and hopefully will go live in Beta before the end of 2018.
I started to wireframe the first mockups of the platform and work to find either a technical cofounder or a developer who could assist me to develop the solution. Even though I've experience in Human Resources and Design, I don't know how to create a solution like this from scratch.
Eventually found a programmer nearby who liked the idea and came onboard to help me to develop Mentory.
While working to develop a new Performance Management system in my Human Resources job thought that it would be great to be able to connect with people who are experts in their fields to get some input. People who's readily available to share their thoughts and inspire others without having to go to LinkedIn, add them and hopefully get a response back.
