Building a Product Together in 48 Hours

Hey ya'll!

This is the IndieHackers SPb community. We are a bunch of creative fellows from Russia who promote the IndieHackers movement here.

Usually, we simply meet up each month and discuss startup-related things. But this weekend we are having a special event.

We are building a real product altogether. We have a powerful team of 10 IndieHackers which is:

Within 48 hours our indie crew wants to create a real working product. We already have chosen an idea and performed a lot of preparation. During the next 2 days, there will be no talks, only hardcore building.

Nice work guys! I'm really happy to see the movement in my hometown. I know the maker community is not something really popular in Russia and I'm happy to see someone spreading the word.
It's also great because we have so many amazing and talented developers in SPb.
I have a very small Telegram channel about digital nomading/freelance stuff. I'd be glad to make a post about makers communities and mention yours.
Do you have a website of the community or meetups you making? Or maybe just a link where do you promote them (meetup.com / ih)?

Nice work I saw what you guys did, and it works!

It works but still very buggy. We decided to polish for a couple of days and only then launch it.

Btw, how was your experience? :)

      1. 2

It was good. A Simple product. But on the dashboard when creating polls it says "Add a Question" - when in reality you cannot add a question to a poll there is only one "Question" and it goes into the "Title" text input.

So it's only one question but we an "Add an Option".

Also, the product did not work as I expected - It's not a "Tinder-style" app - I expected to be able to make multiple questions, and users would be able to swipe on each question to answer it.

          Thanks for the input!

Actually, you can. The UI needs to be updated so you will understand it automatically

          It does this!
OK, nevermind. Let us finish the job and then give us a second chance. You will get what you want.

May I ask you what purpose will your TInder-like survey be used for?

Good luck guys! This is awesome!

Thank you Nash! We like it too :)

This is awesome! I'd love to find new projects like this to be a part of! I'm on the ops side of the business so glad to help out anyway I can

    1. 1

Hello, thanks for the offer. We are an offline community, it will be a pain to integrate a remote worker at this early stage. But we will contact you if we need an ops.

I think you should share a story of how you did it at hackernoon.com later. definitely will be worth reading. have fun!

  6. 1

Holy moly, I will follow you! Super curious!

    1. 2

We need a couple of more days to finish the MVP :)

  7. 1

Be careful. Powerful things can happen with a team of 10 (That's a bigger team than a lot of profitable startups!)

    1. 1

Yeah, 10 people that is something.
I can barely breathe in this creative energy tornado.

  8. 1

    Whoa, that's some energy
