This was a real validation of the idea and really exciting as I had only launched the service in April.

At this stage all sign-ups were still manually processed after payment and blogs had to be manually provisioned.

Even through there wasn't a torrent of people signing up and this customer went on to cancel a few months later (due to lack of time to work on their blog) it was all the encouragement needed to continue putting time into marketing and developing the service.
