Hey Indie Hackers!
We're excited to announce the launch of Miget, our new platform designed to revolutionize app deployments. After months of development and testing, we're now open for Early Adopters!
Miget was born from a need for an affordable, efficient PaaS solution. We built it using Ruby on Rails 7, C, Python, Go, and Kubernetes, allowing seamless deployments, service management, and dynamic user quotas. The feedback from our friends and colleagues has been fantastic, and we're thrilled to see others sharing their Migets and inviting collaborators.
Join us now and be part of the early adopters who shape the future of Miget. We can't wait to hear your feedback and continue improving together!
Check out Miget and start deploying today! 🚀
Feel free to ask any questions or share your thoughts below. Let's build something amazing together!

We opened our platform to friends and colleagues, and the feedback was fantastic. They loved the idea and started using it immediately. Miget allows adding collaborators, which quickly expanded our user base. People began sharing their Migets and inviting others to test out the platform. Watching the community grow and seeing others appreciate and utilize what we built was an amazing feeling. This initial success validated our efforts and motivated us to keep improving the platform.

I started building the MVP using Ruby on Rails 7 and kubeclient. Initially, I could manage deployments, services, and user quotas. However, the user quota feature wasn't dynamic. My goal was to offer the same capabilities as Dokku but on Kubernetes. On a VPS, CPU cores can be shared among apps, so I developed a custom Kubernetes scheduler and code for Linux Kubernetes worker nodes to implement virtual CPU capabilities. This innovation became a game changer for my platform.

I was searching for a cost-effective way to host my Rails app. Installing Linux on a cheap VPS was time-consuming, and Heroku was too expensive. Every existing PaaS seemed pricey. I ended up using Dokku on a VPS, which worked great until the VPS failed and my project was lost. This got me thinking: What if I built my own PaaS to solve this issue? Something beyond just a VPS, maybe using Kubernetes? And so, I started coding.
