Milli - Baby Tracker & Log
Baby activity tracker for families
I built a baby tracking app but the real problem wasn’t tracking
Most baby apps are built around one idea: logging events.
Feeds. Sleep. Diapers. Medicine.
That part is solved.
The real problem shows up when more than one person is involved.
Parents, partners, grandparents, babysitters everyone helps, but the information doesn’t sync well between them.
So you end up asking the same questions over and over:
“When was the last feed?”
“Did they sleep already?”
“Did anyone give medicine?”
It sounds small, but when you’re exhausted, it adds friction constantly.
I tried a lot of existing apps.
Some were too complicated.
Some missed basic features.
Some buried simple actions behind too many taps.
Some pushed ads into an experience that should feel calm.
But the main thing missing was coordination.
So I built Milli – Baby Tracker & Log.
The core idea is simple:
a shared, real-time timeline for baby care.
Everyone sees the same data, updates happen instantly, and handoffs between caregivers actually work.
On top of that, I focused heavily on the “2am use case”:
fast input (one hand, half awake)
minimal UI friction
no clutter or unnecessary steps
This project was also an experiment in how I build products.
I used a combination of GPT Codex and Claude Code throughout development not just for writing code, but for iterating on features, comparing approaches, and speeding up decision-making.
It wasn’t about replacing development it was about tightening the feedback loop.
What I learned from this build:
Most products optimize for features, not real-life usage moments
Coordination problems are often bigger than the “core feature”
Simplicity is much harder than adding functionality
Building with AI works best when you treat it like a collaborator, not a tool
Still early, but I’d love feedback, especially from parents or anyone who’s dealt with this kind of coordination problem.

About
I built Milli with real-time family sync so everyone shares the same timeline, designed to be fast and frictionless at 2 am when you’re exhausted.
