March 2, 2026 Mindspend: Track How You Feel About Your Spending

Hey everyone! I just launched Mindspend, a spending tracker that focuses on how you feel about your purchases, not just the numbers.

The idea came from a simple question: why do some purchases feel great and others make you feel terrible, even when the amounts are similar? I couldn't find an app that helped me understand that, so I built one.

Here's what it does:

Emotion Tracking lets you tag how you feel about each purchase. Over time, you start seeing patterns you'd never notice otherwise.

Spending Triggers helps you identify what pushes you to spend. Stress, boredom, social pressure, whatever your thing is.

Smart Buckets lets you organize spending by what actually matters to you, not just generic categories like "food" or "transport."

Weekly Focus Goals give you one small thing to work on each week instead of trying to overhaul your entire budget at once.

Beautiful Insights turns all of this into visual patterns so you can actually see your relationship with money changing over time.

It's free to download on both iOS and Android. I'd love to hear what you think, especially if you've tried other budgeting apps and found them too focused on restriction. Mindspend is more about awareness than willpower.

Happy to answer any questions about the app, the tech stack, or the journey of building it solo.

About

I wanted to understand why the same purchase feels great one day and terrible the next. Every budgeting app tracks what you spend, but none of them ask how it made you feel. So I built one that does.
