I'm Nim — indie maker, ex-Amazon, went solo a few years back. I've been quietly building things I actually want to exist.
This one is Wordplay: a daily cryptic crossword app.
I love cryptics. But every app out there felt stuck in 2005. Cluttered grids, terrible mobile UX, zero help for beginners. The puzzle format itself is brilliant — but the tooling around it has never caught up.
So I built something different. One clue per day. Clean interface. Progressive hints that teach you how cryptics work, not just hand you the answer. Solve it in a minute or in twenty — either way, you've learned something.
It's free, no ads, no accounts. iOS and Android. There's also an archive of 1000+ past clues if you want to practice.
We're at about £50 MRR from a small but growing community. Early days.
