February 23, 2026 Built MirrorSplit — a modern web-based editor (would love feedback)

Hey IndieHackers 👋

I built MirrorSplit, a browser-based editor for images/video/audio.

The project started from frustration with existing tools that felt bloated or disconnected. I wanted a cleaner, faster editing experience directly in the browser.

MirrorSplit is now live and functional (currently prerevenue).

MirrorSplit is currently prerevenue.

I’m also open to conversations around partnerships or acquisition if there’s a good fit.

Would love your honest feedback on the UI, idea, and overall impression 🙏

Clean concept. Browser-based creative tools are attractive when they feel fast and lightweight.

A few things I’d look at closely:

    • Are image, video, and audio files processed fully client-side, or uploaded to your servers? Clear messaging here builds trust.

    • If files are uploaded, how long are they stored and are they encrypted at rest?

Since it’s prerevenue, performance and reliability will shape first impressions more than features. If it feels instant and predictable, people will stick around.

One thing I noticed immediately: when I opened the website, I didn’t see a menu or clear navigation. A simple header with “How it works”, “Features”, “Pricing”, or “Privacy” would help first-time visitors understand what the product is before trying it.

In this category, speed, clarity, and predictability matter more than feature count. If the first impression explains value and feels safe, people will explore further.

About

MirrorSplit exists because I wanted a fast, accessible creative editor that runs entirely in the browser without the complexity of traditional software. Many tools are either too heavy, too limited, or fragmented across
