Mixily
event hosting platform for IRL and URL events
Today we launched Virtual Venue, our newest feature, on Product Hunt! Goodbye, generic video chat! Virtual Venue lets you embed a branded virtual event space directly into your website. Instead of a hard-to-find Zoom link, create a persistent home where your community can gather.

After many conversations with event organizers we discovered a common theme that they are tired of sending their attendees to external sites like Zoom and Youtube, filled with distractions. We launched Virtual Venue to empower organizers to host the full experience directly on their website.

Started a new series on blog.Mixily.com featuring the creators using Mixily to host their events. Events on Mixily range from origami meetups, cooking classes, yoga, pet community events, dating experiences and many more. By interviewing the hosts we are sharing their story and event tips with fellow organizers.

Miraya came onboard as the first full time hire to lead marketing and customer success. Plus two developers and two part time hires helps with sales and research calls. The team is growing as we are able to talk to more hosts and build out new features in Mixily.

Mixily was originally built for IRL gatherings, but with the pandemic and rise of online experiences, we shifted to focus on how to improve virtual events. Zoom integration, virtual location detector, time zone finder, and auto reminders are just some of the tools we've started rolling out to help hosts organize better online experiences.

Andrew launched Mixily in June 2019. Had the idea to create a better way to host events. He ran the first and biggest Bitcoin meetup 2011-2014 in San Fran and it was a lot of work, tons of different issues to make an event run smoothly. Even hosting personal house parties with some friends on email, some on Facebook, always felt complicated to invite people. As his friends were moving away from Facebook events and Evite and Paperless Post felt outdated, he felt there was an opportunity to create a better platform for event hosts.

We started Mixily to empower creators to easily set-up and host events, make the event page look beautiful, message attendees and not pay an absurd amount on ticketing fees. Hosting your event just got easier.
