MockTrade

It took 3 months, everyday about 2 hours, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for MockTrade. I worked mostly after my full time job and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in Golang and Flutter since that's that I'm the most comfortable with. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later like user performance, live funds tracking, order history. But I'm excited to publish it to public use and see what they think about the product so far!

Although I stopped coding for this project after some weeks of start, lockdown in my country led me some time to complete this and publish it for public use.

So I decided to code 1-2 hours everyday after my full time job and in weekends and wanted to at least publish 1 side project during this lockdown.

I wanted to analyze my trading and investing methods, learn from the mistakes but not with real money in Indian Stock Exchange.

There are apps for paper trading in Play Store. But none of them provide live stock data and not very user friendly UI.

So I decided that I should solve my own problem, and so started working on this from January.
