I cloned my Portuguese product for the French market in 2 weeks — here's the stack

After building Minha Historia (a service that turns parents' voice notes into memoir books via WhatsApp) for the Portuguese market, I cloned it for France as Mon Livre de Vie.

Same concept, different market:

- 12 weeks x 3 questions = 36 WhatsApp voice note answers

- Transcribed, edited, printed as a hardcover book (15x23cm)

- QR code in every chapter to hear the original recording

- 4 cover designs, gold ornaments, Cormorant Garamond + Cinzel typography

The clone took 2 weeks because the entire stack is market-agnostic:

- Shopify (Dawn theme, same structure)

- WhatsApp Business Cloud API (same flows)

- Make.com scenarios (duplicated and translated)

- Brevo for email sequences

- Lulu.com for printing (ships worldwide)

- Cloudflare R2 for audio storage

The only real work was translating the 36 questions, the email sequences, and the landing page. The WhatsApp flows, payment, and printing pipeline didn't change at all.

Currently paused while I focus on SiftedTools, but the system is live. Interested in hearing from anyone who's built multi-market clones of their own product.

The QR code in every chapter so people can hear the original voice years later is the detail that stayed with me. That's the part that turns it from a printed book into something families keep.

I kept imagining someone hearing about Mon Livre de Vie after a friend mentioned it then quietly looking it up because they're thinking about a parent who's getting older. Before they buy they're really just hoping to feel that this preserves a voice and not just a story.

I'm curious if you've noticed people sharing it with siblings first before making the decision on their own.

What stood out to me is that you didn't clone a website—you cloned an operating system.

When most of the business stays the same and only the market-specific trust layer changes, expanding into new geographies becomes a much more repeatable decision than starting from scratch each time.
