Inspired by @joemasilotti’s RailsDev, I started building a reverse job board feature for Montreal Developer Jobs. I am currently gathering developer profiles that will be featured to recruiters soon.
Today I wrote and posted the first blog post for Montreal Developer Jobs. It is an overview of the various platforms you can use to search for a developer job in Montreal and how they differ.

People looking for a developer job in Montreal can subscribe to a newsletter to receive each week in their inbox the latest job listings. Today, the first newsletter was sent out to the five subscribers I have. They were able to discover the 26 job listings we already have.
The website is now live, with already a few manually curated job ads. My process for getting the job listings: go to Glassdoor, look for the best ranked companies for developers in Montreal, and go fetch each job ads on each company’s website. I repeat this same process every day, each time trying to add a new company to the list.
