Uptime monitoring for freelancers and web agencies

March 25, 2026 I built Monytra uptime monitoring for freelancers and agencies (and why existing tools frustrated me)

Hey Indie Hackers,

I'm Abdul, and I just launched Monytra, a website uptime monitoring platform built specifically for freelancers and web agencies managing multiple client websites.

The problem I kept running into:

Every time a client's site went down, I'd find out from the client, not from my monitoring tool. The free tier of most tools either checks every 5 minutes, limits how many sites you can monitor, or locks SSL monitoring behind a paid plan. Paying for 3 separate tools just to get basic coverage got old fast.

What I built:

Monytra gives you everything in one place:

  • 1-minute uptime checks

  • SSL certificate monitoring with expiry alerts at 30 and 7 days

  • Nightly site audits that crawl for broken links and missing assets

  • Response time history and ping logs

  • Instant downtime alerts via email

All of this is available on the free plan, no credit card required.

Where I am now:

The product is live at monytra.com. I'm focused on getting the first paying customers and would love feedback from anyone who manages client websites.

If you're a freelancer or run a small agency, I'd genuinely appreciate you trying it out and telling me what's missing.

About

I built Monytra because existing uptime tools lock key features behind paid plans. One dashboard for all client sites, SSL monitoring, broken link audits, and instant alerts included.
