Finally after some changes and a few emails going in and out with the wonderful Shopify review team our app was approved.
The bad news is that is already december 24 and in Colombia everyone is on vacations mode. we will wait untill january 10 to start promoting.
Also we install it on some friends and old customers shops to fix all little bugs that may appear

Shopify has a review process for every app.
After testing our mvp with our first 2 carriers we submit the app for review.
This process can be very stressfull because you can see the logs of the shopify staff trying your app and of course the impostor syndrome is real jajaja.

I always wanted to have a kubernetes cluster that contains everything but it was to expensive, finally our other app gain some traction and allow us to spend on this.
We move our first app and a bunch of private apps we have build for customers to our new beautiful cluster

Building the MVP took us a little longer that i expected because we have to focus for a while on our first app, that needed some changes required by the company we integrate with.
After our workload was redirected to this proyect we finished relatively fast.

Build a service that receive a city and state with typos and return the correct city with his dane code (Colombian city code). this is important because in Colombia we dont use zip codes and people enter the cities in the checkout with a lot of typos.
Also we build an authentication service that receive the webhooks and redirect it to the productions servers and the developers ngrok addresses, this allow us to have a private key for each developer so they dont need to have the app private key.

We are planning to build a lot of Shopify apps, for that reason we design 3 services that we found needed for 1 app we currently have, this app, and another with high changes we'll end up building. also i made the fisrt sketch on paper and pass it to Figma.
