For 2 months I didn't know what to do with Moufette, I wasn't sure what path to take. And like many other side projects, I was about to kill it. But yesterday I decided to give it a last chance and share it on HackerNews. To my surprise, my post made it to the first page with 65 upvotes, very nice, and encouraging comments. Also got 189 starts on the GitHub repo!

I'm trying to get more feedback from those who got excited about the project, probably will launch a website + newsletter. Ant considering adding Heatmaps and Sessions recording as the next step.

This is great! it's the first time I see newsletter connected to an open-source project, feels like a smart strategy

April 15, 2020 I needed this!

Many engineers find it painful to work out how their products are being used and struggle to get the critical early feedback they need to help them navigate the product development and prioritize a long list of features. Moufette is here to solves that.

Moufette is not an analytics tool replacement but rather a complementary. It's important to understand how users behave on your website but in many cases you can't make any sense of their random clicks and scrolling. So why not just ask them! People love to tell what they think or even criticism especially if they think your are wrong (Cunningham's Law). And this is exactly what you need at this stage.

Interested to know more about this.. Assuming it's a not at all similar to on-page optimization features or monitor like Google Optimize and Fullstory.

If possible, an early 1-minute visual walkthrough before anything else? :-)

I am looking for products that is valuable for my future audience in migmarketingresources.com, as an affiliate.

    Thank you.

Ok just noticed it still on github.
But if it can benefit me as a starting blogger, please get me on board. Because that's what I am looking to do, help others to start online.

February 1, 2020 Finished MVP

It took a week, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for Moufette. I worked mostly nights and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in Nodejs, React since that's that I'm the most comfortable with. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later. But I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!
