Having satisfied ourselves that the tool is useful via active users and paying customers, we're launching publicly. In practice this isn't much more than removing the waitlist signup from the website and redirecting folks through to the App Store download page.

June 1, 2019 Research lab spinout

At the Ink & Switch research lab, we spent several years researching the creative process, tablet platforms, and human-computer interaction primitives. One of our tracks of research showed commercial promise and we decided to give it life as its own commercial entity: Muse Software.

January 1, 2019 Private beta

Through late 2019 and early 2020, we took email signups on our minimalist homepage, then invited people slowly to try the TestFlight beta.

The research prototype that came out of the lab was too weird for most people to understand, but eventually we found a way to fit it together with some of the iOS status quo.
