August 19, 2023 Why I Decided to Develop This AI-Based Chrome Extension, and Why I Love the Journey

If you often find yourself stumbling across pages or videos that you love, and save them to your browser’s bookmarks, only to forget them in a corner later, then you’ll understand why I created this Chrome extension.

I wanted to harness AI to solve this problem, so it possesses two core features:

  • Simplicity, with just a single click on the extension icon, you can summarize the current page or video.
  • Automatic organization into Notion, where clicking the save button will automatically arrange the relevant elements of the page into a Notion table.

In short, with this extension plugin, you can click the extension icon on your favorite page, and let AI help you make a quick summary of the current page, and then save the pages or videos you love in your own Notion table.

Of course, you can also use it to quickly read a webpage or video.

Great breakdown! Love how personal motivation shaped the build. Ours isn’t AI-based but taps into sustainability behavior change through a simple interface. Curious – do you see extensions becoming mainstream tools for daily habits?

Excellent job! "TLDR" is indeed a good aspect to come up such kind of idea, although there are already a number of existing solutions to summarize current article or video.

But still I love the idea of saving-to-notion, which can quite handy for Notion lovers, and again a bunch of save-to-notion plugins are already popular on the market. So you basically put these two features together.
    Clever.
Love to hear more from users and see how the audiences are reacting to your extension.

Thanks a lot! I started up with it yesterday, and the upcoming week will be crunch time.
