December 10, 2025 Why I Built Mustscope (and Why Apple Probably Saved Me From Myself)

I’ve been shipping iOS apps for a long time now, since 2014, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that I’ve spent an absolutely obscene amount of time on metadata. Screenshots, privacy pages, terms, descriptions – basically everything except… the actual app.

And the worst part? Half the time I wasn’t even sure the idea deserved to exist.

My personal rock bottom came years ago when I built an “entertainment” app that made it look like you were FaceTiming celebrities. I spent hours polishing screenshots, writing descriptions, setting up a contact page, crafting privacy policies – I went all-in. Apple rejected it so fast I’m convinced they didn’t even scroll.

After enough moments like that, I realized something: I shouldn’t be wasting hours on launch materials before I even know if the idea is good. No developer should.

So I built MustScope – a faster, smarter way to generate everything you need before launch. Privacy pages, terms, screenshots, even an app icon – done in minutes, not hours.

Because building apps is already hard enough, getting them ready to launch shouldn’t kill the excitement – it should inspire. And Mustscope does exactly that.

About

After years of launching apps since 2014, I kept losing countless hours on metadata (privacy, descriptions, screenshots, contact pages) instead of building. MustScope solves that pain in minutes.
