December 14, 2018 User feedback and adding features

After I got the initial users, I added a feature request button on the extension which would take the users to a Google form. In the form I asked the users to submit a feature that they would like to be added in the extension.

Until today I've got a total of 18 requests. Out of which I've added around 10 features into the extension.

Currently there are around 180 downloads for the extension and around 120 weekly active users. I will maintain this extension as long as users are happy with it.

April 20, 2017 Development and Release

I started working on the Chrome extension and within a week first version of the extension was ready. But I was not very happy with the user interface. So I started making it better. I worked on it for over 2-3 weeks if I remember correctly and then I shared it on Twitter!

I got very good response from my friends for the extension which solved a real problem that they were facing too.

I shared the extension on platforms like Product Hunt, Hacker News, Reddit etc. But I didn't get any good number of users from these platforms.

March 15, 2017 Idea

I started investing in mutual funds in early 2017. Soon after that I found out that there was no simple application to track NAV of different mutual funds I've invested in without logging into my broker's website. I got the idea for a Chrome extension where users can search and add any indian mutual fund and track different details like Current NAV, % Change, 1 Year, 3 Year, 5 Year Returns, Minimum investment, Exit load, Scheme Class etc.
