Today I tackled something small but important: making the social proof on my landing page look polished.
I had placeholder avatars in the hero section, which felt… fake. So I finally added real client photos. The problem? They were all different sizes and compositions. I needed a way to crop and position them nicely for the circular avatars.
Instead of guessing CSS values or writing code repeatedly, I spun up a quick Avatar Cropping Tool in about 10 minutes:
✅ Select an image
✅ Adjust position and zoom
✅ Copy the CSS values for object-position and transform
✅ Done
This made the process super easy and scalable. Now my hero section feels authentic—and that matters when building trust with visitors.
Before vs After
Before: Placeholder images (looked fake)

During: Built a tiny cropping tool

After: Real client avatars, perfectly centered

This small change makes a big difference in credibility. One of those micro-details that compounds over time.
💬 Question for you:
What’s a small UX or design detail you’ve fixed recently that made a huge difference in trust?

I love taking a great product and asking, “Could I build this myself?”
This time, the target was Outrank.so — an AI-driven SEO content engine.
Yes, I know it’s way easier (and smarter) to just support Tibo and his product.
Honestly, Outrank probably gives me a better long-term solution.
But this wasn’t about replacing Outrank.
It was about learning, experimenting, and having fun.
So I gave myself a challenge:
4 hours, one sitting, using Gemini, Google Colab, and GitHub Actions.
Here’s what happened:
✅ Step 1: First Hurdle — Just Write a Blog Post
The first script?
It spat out plain text. Useless for my site.
I needed Markdown with YAML frontmatter (title, excerpt, SEO tags).
Solution?
Gemini’s Structured Output feature:
prompt_metadata = f""" For a blog post titled: "{blog_topic}", return JSON: {"excerpt": "...", "category": "...", "tags": [...], "metaTitle": "...", "metaDescription": "...", "keywords": [...]} """
Suddenly, everything clicked. JSON → YAML → Perfect Markdown.

✅ Step 2: Give It a Brain 🧠
One blog post = cool.
A content engine that never runs out of ideas = cooler.
I added Google Sheets as the control center:
✔ Keyword Research
✔ Blog Post Ideas
When the queue runs low, Gemini auto-generates:
15 new keywords
SEO-optimized blog titles
Prompt for keywords:
You are an SEO strategist. Generate 15 long-tail keywords for a SaaS offering fixed-price MVP builds in 14 days. Focus on 2025 trends & high commercial intent.

✅ Step 3: Add Brand Voice
Early drafts? Too generic.
So I baked in my Brand Brief:
Mission: Save founders from endless dev cycles
Core Offer: Fixed-price MVP in 14 days
Philosophy: Speed beats perfection
Every section prompt became:
Write a 200-word section that aligns with: - Speed is an unfair advantage - Certainty > speculation Do NOT mention company name or pricing. Output in Markdown.
✅ Now, every post feels like me.
✅ Step 4: Automate Everything ⚡
Manual runs = boring.
I wanted CI/CD for blogging:
✔ GitHub Actions runs twice a day
✔ Generates post + image
✔ Pushes to repo
✔ Opens a Pull Request
Problems?
Rate limits → Fixed by using
gemini-2.5-flashfor metadata, Pro for contentGoogle auth in CI → Service Account + GitHub Secrets
Git errors → Configured user & paths

✅ The Engine Is Live 🚀
Now, the system:
✔ Runs on autopilot
✔ Writes posts
✔ Generates images
✔ PR ready for merge
What started as a 4-hour experiment now saves me hours every week and scales content like crazy.
What This Means for Indie Hackers
Automation isn’t just for dev ops. Content = leverage.
AI can handle the boring parts if you give it structure.
One afternoon of setup = recurring growth.
Would you build something like this for your product?
Or should I share the full Colab → GitHub Actions script?

Like many Indie Hackers, I’ve been through the frustration of working with agencies and freelancers who promise fast results and then drag out projects for months (or years).
So I built MVPExpert with one goal:
👉 Help SaaS founders launch a professional MVP in exactly 14 days.
Why?
I've seen too many startup founders get trapped in endless dev cycles:
6-month timelines turn into 9 months...
$50K budgets turn into $80K...
Motivation dies long before users show up.
It’s not just wasted money — it kills momentum.
What I Offer:
✅ Fixed price: $4,990
✅ Guaranteed 14-day delivery
✅ Production-ready MVP (web or mobile)
✅ Modern tech stack: React, Supabase, Tailwind, Next.js, Vercel, Stripe
How It’s Going:
In the past few months, I’ve delivered MVPs for startups in:
Health (OFFCAN - quit energy drinks)
Media (Osmos - organize YouTube habits)
SaaS (Corked - wine club management)
Internal Tools (Applied Studio - product datasheet generator)
Every one of them delivered on time.
No surprises. No delays.
My Ask:
If you know someone stuck waiting on their MVP…
Or burning money on dev that never ends…
Send them here: https://www.mvpexpert.com
Or just say hi below. I’m always up for chatting with other builders.

Hey there,
Love what you’ve built with MVPExpert — the 14-day turnaround is a game changer for founders stuck in dev mode.I help early-stage founders right after launch, especially with getting their first users and early traction. I’ve created a paid Marketing Starter Kit that includes proven templates, growth playbooks, and positioning frameworks designed for solo or small teams.
It might be a great value-add for your MVP clients once they’re ready to go to market. Happy to share more if you're curious!
