My Free QR Code

I had to label more than 200 shelves, each with a unique code and QR code, and I needed the text to sit next to the QR in a very specific way.

The problem was that I didn’t have the original specs, and after trying AI tools and different apps, I still couldn’t find anything free, simple and flexible enough to recreate what I needed.

So I built it myself.

That became My Free QR Code.

Once I had it working, I realised the same problem could apply to plenty of other people who need something more specific than a basic QR generator.

So I turned it into a public tool that is:

• completely free

• easy to use

• customisable with text, colours and logos

• privacy-focused, with QR generation handled locally in the browser

• able to create bulk QR codes for larger jobs

I built it using Claude AI alongside my own professional experience, problem-solving and product ideas.

The bigger experiment for me is learning how to build, launch and grow useful digital products from scratch.
