Save. Grill. Repeat
Hey Indie Hackers 👋
I'm a senior dev by trade, but more importantly… a BBQ nerd by heart.
Between juggling code and coals, I started noticing a problem:
Every time I grilled, I lost track of the best recipes, forgot what wood I used, and ended up repeating the same mistakes. Planning meals was messy, shopping lists were scattered, and logging past sessions? Non-existent.
So I thought:
What if I built the app I always wanted as a BBQ lover?
🚀 Enter myBBQRecipe — a PWA I’m building solo, designed as the ultimate grilling companion.
It’s for all the backyard pitmasters, weekend warriors, and food lovers who want to get better at BBQ, without the chaos.
🔧 Built with:

About
As a BBQ lover, I kept running into the same frustrations — scattered notes, lost recipes. I wanted a tool that could help me plan, cook, and evolve as a pitmaster with the help of AI

Hey, your link is not working if you click on it, you have to delete "Let's" from it, and only after that it works
But outside that, looks great. Biggest wins I'd love next: a "Repeat Cook" that rebuilds timers from a past log, and a simple public share page with "Duplicate."
Love this building around a personal passion always makes the product feel alive. I’m not deep into BBQ myself, but I know the pain of repeating mistakes and wishing I had a way to log/track what worked vs. what didn’t. Your angle with AI tips inside a niche app is really smart.
Quick thought: are you planning to keep it fully free long-term, or test if BBQ enthusiasts would pay for premium features like recipe sharing or wood-pairing suggestions?
Hey! Being a BBQ lover myself, i love what you’re building with myBBQRecipe.
