MyCafe
A QR-Powered Restaurant OS.
Hey everyone 👋
I’ve been working on a full-stack QR-powered restaurant management system called MyCafe.
The idea started from a simple observation:
Even today, most dine-in restaurants rely on waiters for basic ordering flow, which creates delays, miscommunication, and friction.
So I built a lightweight “Restaurant OS” where:
Customers scan a QR at their table
Browse menu + order instantly
15-minute edit window before kitchen lock
Real-time order status updates
Automated GST + service charge billing
Admin dashboard with force actions
Table session isolation
Order locking once preparation starts
Tech stack:
Flask (Python)
SQLite
Vanilla JS
Custom admin + kitchen display system
This is not meant to compete with delivery giants — it’s focused purely on improving the dine-in experience without heavy commissions.
I’m looking for honest feedback from:
Backend developers
Product thinkers
Indie hackers
Anyone who has built SaaS tools
What would you improve? What feels unnecessary? What feels strong?

Restaurants still rely on waiters for basic tasks like taking orders, updating status, and generating bills. This creates delays, miscommunication, and unnecessary operational friction. I wanted to build this
