July 18, 2026 Just got MyChoreCraft up and running!

Hey Indie Hackers,

I’m a beginner developer who wanted to see if I could build a working web app from scratch. I ended up getting completely hooked on the process!

I built MyChoreCraft to solve an everyday issue: making household task management fair, simple, and painless. My ultimate goal is to help families and kids turn chores from a point of friction into teamwork.

Getting the project live unlocked 30 new design and sustainability challenges. Since I can't start forum threads yet, I'm using this page to document my building journey.

I'd love for you to follow along, and if you have any tips on smooth mobile design or early user testing, please drop a comment below!

The household chore problem is familiar, but I'd be curious to see what keeps families using MyChoreCraft after the initial setup. I'd keep validating whether people are looking for a chore tracker, or a way to reduce the everyday friction that chores create between parents and kids.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm curious too. Once I get some regular users, I'm hoping to see what features they liked best, why it works for them etc. You have a good point some families may see value right away (young children etc..) how do I keep others using the app after signup.

That's the interesting part to watch.

The strongest signal will probably come from what families naturally use the app for after the initial setup, rather than what they say they want beforehand.
