December 25, 2025 The beginning of the product story

Hey IH! I built Nail-Designs.ai because nail inspiration is everywhere, but turning it into a salon-ready set is still painful.

With Nail-Designs.ai you can generate nail designs by style/shape/color, then try them on your own hand (virtual try-on) before committing. It’s basically: Generate → pick → try-on → bring to your nail tech.

Two links if you want to test fast:

I’d love feedback: what would make this 10x more useful for you?
A) better style presets B) better try-on realism C) salon-ready set generator D) community prompt recipes

December 17, 2025 How I’m turning Pantone’s 2026 Color “Cloud Dancer” into wearable nail trends with an AI nail generator

Pantone recently announced its 2026 Color of the Year: PANTONE 11-4201 "Cloud White"—a serene and ethereal white.

My first reaction was, "White...what color is that?"

After staring at my nails for a while, my second thought was, "Wait—aren't nails the perfect canvas for soft colors?"

So I did a little experiment: I used my tool Nail-Designs.ai to generate a series of nail art designs themed around "Cloud White" and compiled them into a reusable nail art tutorial.

The Cloud Dance color itself is relatively "understated," but nail art can add texture and subtle contrast without sacrificing its tranquil atmosphere:

• Pearlescent glaze/jelly layer

• French manicure/double French manicure

• White lines

• Chrome alloy "halo" edges

• 3D pearl/lace details

After 150 iterations (approximately 700 designs), I finally settled on:

• 250 designs that feel comparable to professional nail salon work

• 120 "customer-friendly" selected designs (designs I myself would like to do)

(If interested, I can share images and my rating criteria.)

Below are 6 inspiration guide templates

You can copy/paste these templates into any nail design generator—I use Nail-Designs.ai.

1) Cloud Dance "Ceramic" Minimalist Nail Art

Cloud Dance (Pantone 11-4201): Milky white base, pearlescent glaze, almond-shaped nails, ultra-clean cuticle, glossy gel, understated shimmer, minimalist design.

2) French Mini Nail Art (Negative Space)

Cloud Dance: Soft white base, French mini tips, white curved sides, ultra-fine lines, short square-round nail shape, modern minimalism, glossy.

3) "Halo Chrome" Edges (Understated Refinement)

Cloud Dance: Off-white base, soft champagne-colored chrome halo edges, delicate understated shimmer, oval nail shape, elegant and fashionable magazine style.

4) Pearl Lace Texture Nail Art

Using Cloud Dance color as the base, two nails are adorned with 3D pearls, paired with lace lines, creating a modern bridal style. Glossy gel is used, and the nail shape is almond-shaped.

5) Cloud Marble Pattern (Low Contrast)

The Cloud Marble pattern uses a cloud-like base color, blending swirling light gray and icy blue tones to create a light and translucent sense of layering. A medium almond color provides a high-gloss finish.

6) Monochrome "Tranquil Luxury"

All nails are painted with a single-color Cloud Marble nail polish. One nail features a contrast between matte and glossy finishes, paired with delicate geometric patterns for a simple and elegant look.

My Tips (Quick Technique Enhancement)

• Simply saying "white nail polish" can be rather ordinary.

Adding texture, subtle contrast, and nail techniques (such as "glaze," "French micro-textured," or "halo chrome") can significantly enhance the final effect.

• "Tranquil" doesn't mean "monotonous." Texture is key.

If you'd like to try it out, here's the generator I used:

I'd love to hear your feedback:

1. Which style do you think best represents "2026": glaze/French microtexture/gloss chrome/lace + pearl/cloud marble?

2. If you were a nail salon owner, would you want a feature like "generate nail art for customers in 30 seconds based on skin tone, hand shape, and occasion"? How much would you be willing to pay for it?

3. Should I use this as a public inspiration library (with credit to the inspiration authors), or as an in-app "recipe"?

If you share your favorite styles in the comments (e.g., "understated luxury office safe" or "unconventional wedding style"), I'll run several versions of the program and post the best one in the thread.
