September 13, 2021 Top of Product Hunt list. Thoughts & Advice :)

First of all, thank you to everyone who helped us make it to the top. Nailted for Slack, landed as #1, but not only, that but consistently stayed #1 until the last 6 hours of the day.

Our launch was on a Friday as it adapted perfectly to our product’s notification with users, the reason why we only made around 350 votes and ended up in #3 place. We launched without a hunter for 2 reasons:

  1. We had full control of the launch
  2. We could not find a Hunter which connected with our Ideal Customer Profile, so it was not worth it.

For our launch, we relied fully on our audience, the love from our users (+8000), and the community's curiosity. We sent out our newsletter, worked on Social media, and shared it with our best customers.

One thing we realized is that most of the most come from the community just voting indistinctly the top products and commenting on these, in order to get their points, so it is important to be the first up there and stay #1. The traffic is higher if you would launch on another week-day, therefore we hardly advise to do so.

If we were to change something to obtain more voting is to create a bigger event out of our Product Hunt Launch, i.e.: Through a celebration webinar on LinkedIn, a giveaway… Let's celebrate with your community.

Do not expect to have a huge number of leads of your product is not meant specifically for the Product Hunt tech community to buy/use, but even so if you make it to the top #3 your effort will be worth it 100% translated into new business opportunities.

If you need anything, ask questions or insights, please let us know.

    Very cool!
I had a vision for something like this (with Slack and everything) and it's great to see it in action 😃

July 28, 2021 Social proof for the win!

It's well-known that social proof increases your website conversion ratio. This is our approach to get the most out of it!

Very soon after we started Nailted we knew it and asked for reviews to our initial users and customers to have some testimonials to add here and there over our website, just to have a bare minimum.

But during the previous year we managed to film a few success stories and during the latests weeks we've been running a review campaign on g2 with our customers.

This is the result: https://nailted.com/customers

What do you think? Any feedback will be super appreciated!

Lovely clean wall of testimonials on your site there!

Am interested to know what you mean by 'a review campaign on g2' and what has been the website conversion rate be like since you implemented the social proof? Would you be able to share more on these?

    Cheers!

    1. 1

The campaign is to get reviews from our existing users.

We can't say about the website CR yet since these changes has been there for a few days only. I usually run a/b testing on some ideas but honestly we applied this as a best practice without.any further evaluation. Independently of this, we check our conversion ratios every month to see if we're moving in the right direction.

What is a review campaign — an ad campaign that shows reviews or is it an attempt to get reviews?

Also, have the video reviews helped your conversions?

    1. 2

An attempt to get reviews from our users.

Can't say about the videos honestly, we think they do but can't see any spike on our website CR. We're trying to give them more visibility now and see what happens.

      1. 1

        Cool, thanks for the response!

  3. 1

Nice post! I would ask recurrently for the reviews. I think G2 will position you only taking into account the reviews posted duritng the last 6 months.

    1. 1

Definitely something we're planning to automate! Thanks for the feedback :)

I think it is over the last 12 months, Hkk.

We've divided our previous plan in two tiers. A Pro version with advanced features that you can check in our pricing page (https://nailted.com/pricing) and a new Free tier, which it’s not a small thing at all!

Two months ago we started working super hard to create a new plan plus a self-serve onboarding in order to help you onboard your whole team, including every explanation they might need, in less than 5 min.

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Jose I am loving the site, clearly well designed. Would I be able to interview you?

December 10, 2020 We're finally open for signups!

Those who has been following us will known that the main CTA on our website was "Book a Demo". Well... no more! Sign ups are open now! 🎉

We did demos to everyone, and a lot of 1:1 emails and conversations, focused mostly on customer satisfaction and retention, trying to improve our NPS every day, and trying to bring as much value as possible.

We've plans to keep doing that, of course, but now we're also doing some efforts on creating a good self-service product, so everyone can experience how we can help them with their team engagement.

So... feedback is super welcome, IndieHackers!! 😁

September 3, 2020 Reached $10K MRR

That's a milestone! Today, our stripe subscriptions + our enterprise contracts made us hit this milestone!

Most of the companies were startups or tech companies going remote.

We've been acquiring users from our multiple experiments: off-line events (pre-covid), PR, lead magnets, outreach and referrals, and managed to keep our churn low, so we've now 47 paying customers!

Our main challenge now is to find a good growth channel, which is why we're going to keep doing some experiments. Next ones: case-study and host a webinar. Ideas are welcome!! :)

We managed to get a few customers on board recently, and since we've our Stripe account published here, it looks like the crawler at Growth Rank has detected a huge increase in our MRR.

Right now we have 16 customers, with an outbound only strategy only. Let's see what's next!
