Closing Down Namejax

Namejax Brand Marketplace was my first side project.

It was a marketplace for brandable domain names + the related social media accounts.

The "marketplace" aspect of it never really got off the ground. In the end, I managed to sell around 20 domains that I sourced myself. Making a total of $975 in revenue.

Similar to selling logos, selling domains is a challenging business. It's a super competitive space with some big-time players.

It's also the kind of product where you need to reach customers at exactly the right time. When they want to start a new product/service/app/project/business.
Very difficult to target users at exactly this point.

Ultimately, this project was taking too much time with little reward.

Namejax was a nice project to get me going and I'm happy that I did it.

I learned a bit about Shopify and also about lunching on Product Hunt.
