Business Name Generator and Domain Availability Checker
I always had trouble naming my projects. Probably because I always had a lot of side/hobby projects.
At some point I googled for "project name generator" or "business name generator" and I didn't really like what was available. So I decided to make my own.
I built Namesmith.io in a few weeks part-time. I was especially happy with my phonetic blend feature I developed. It allows the user e.g. to find rhymes for their keywords. I also have a random name generator which supports multiple flavors, such as "modern", "aztec" etc.
I added a simple domain availability checker, so the taken domains could be filtered.
Then I launched on HN (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10265508) and had positive feedback. Sadly it didn't make it on the front page. Still the 20 upvotes gave me a visitor spike for a few days.

Hi thanks for asking. It was acquired by a competitor. They replaced it with their own solution, so it is basically "gone". :)
