Nashrify
Social media management platform
After he last two failures, I had a whole new plan, I started with studying my competitors (Big players in the market) and had a good plan (I didn't have before) and started working.
Everything began with the name change from "FridayTools" (which I thought it had nothing to do with social media) and replaced it with Nashrify.
So what does Nashrify means? let's split the word and get the first part "Nashr" or "نشر" which is an Arabic word that means "publish". And thought of adding a suffix to it to make it more unique like "Shopify" and "Spotify", so I had "Nashrify".
In this version I learn other technologies and got it to work, but the best choice I have mad was using ReactJs.
I started drawing the UI of the dashboard myself and then started building it using Tailwind CSS which was very handy.
Now the software has some more features other than the last two failures:
- An easy to use post composer with emojis
- Publish to Linkedin and Twitter
- Upload images
- Mobile apps in the process
- Facebook and Instagram are in the way (waiting for Facebook business verification)
After version one, I asked myself a question, "Would I ever use such software?" I immediately said NO, hell no.
Then I go to work again and started working on it from the start, trying different templates, different languages and finally I got a better model than the previous (Which was also awful).
At that time my project was called "Friday Tools" (I don't know how I selected that name :))
The app was built using php and jquery and it was working "Locally" and had lots of production errors.
So, I asked myself the same question, "Would I ever use such software?" I said NO again.
Then I started replanning and redesigning the app again for the third time.

After spending sometime coding and designing the application, I finally got the first version of it out. Put into production and then waited for people to start using it, but there was none!
The problem with the new version is that it lack a lot of features, I only had a text box where you type in your text and select a social account (only Facebook at the time) and hit publish, which had nearly no value to the user.
Despite the bad UI/UX experience of the system.

I've read so many times that you should solve your own problem, and so last week I sat down to think about this problem I had when I needed to use a social media publishing & management platform.
After some research, I found that there are no social media management apps that fully support my native language which is Arabic. Then I thought why don't I build one.
And that's the start of Nashrify!

I had the idea four years ago when I needed an Arabic tool to manage my social media accounts and found none. I started studying available platforms and their strengths and weaknesses until in 2020 I published Nashrify.
